Through It All
Our wallets · Nothing staged
We took our wallets and tried to wreck them.
Dropped in the surf. Buried in sand. Left baking in the sun. Spilled coffee. Threw in a bag full of keys and gear. Ran over with a bus. Dropped on concrete.
No staging. No second takes — just a camera locked off and whatever happened next.
❝ We have never seen a wallet so completely unbothered.
❝ It survived a bus. We are still processing this.
❝ Built like it has somewhere to be tomorrow.
The Trials
FILMED IN & AROUND BRISBANE, AUSTRALIA

01
The Sun — no cracks
Left baking on a bare rock in the full Australian sun. Heat is the quiet killer of leather — it dries, cracks and fades softer hides. This one held its structure and its colour.
Condition · Direct heat
Surface · Exposed rock
Result · Intact

02
The Backpack — unscratched
Thrown straight into an overpacked bag with keys, camera gear and sunglasses. The everyday chaos that scuffs most wallets to bits. No pouch, no babying. It came out ready for the weekend.
Condition · Abrasion
Surface · Keys, metal, glass
Result · Unmarked

03
The Surf — unmoved
Left in the shallows and washed over by the waves, again and again. Saltwater stiffens, stains and breaks down ordinary leather. Kangaroo hide is built for the coast it comes from.
Condition · Saltwater
Surface · Open surf
Result · No damage

04
The Bus — fine, somehow
Set on the road. A full-size bus rolled straight over it. Then we picked it up, brushed it off, and kept filming. The hero moment of the whole campaign — and the one nobody believes until they watch it.
Condition · Crush load
Surface · City road
Result · Intact

05
The Spill — wiped clean
A coffee tipped straight over it on a café table. Dense, tight-grained leather means spills sit on the surface instead of soaking in. The kind of detail you only notice the day it saves you.
Condition · Liquid stain
Surface · Café table
Result · No staining

06
The Drop — pocketed
Dropped on concrete, left a beat, then picked up and slipped into a pocket. The simplest test, and the one that ends the film. No drama. Just a wallet, ready for an ordinary day.
Condition · Impact
Surface · Concrete
Result · Unfazed
And a couple we can't fully explain
A wallet riding an escalator alone. One forgotten on the roof of a car, driven off, and perfectly fine. The everyday absurdity of the thing you carry without thinking.

Why it held.
Every Blackinkk wallet is crafted from Australian kangaroo leather — one of the strongest natural leathers in the world relative to its weight. Thinner and lighter than traditional cowhide, yet far more resistant to tearing and wear.
That's not a marketing line. It's the reason the wallet came out the other side of a bus tyre looking like it had a slightly rough afternoon, rather than the end of its life.
